Guerrilla Girls: The Art of Behaving Badly
The UND Department of Art and Design is pleased to present “The Art of Behaving Badly”, an exhibition of provocative posters, videos, and publications created by the Guerrilla Girls that expose discrimination and corruption in the institutional art world.
The exhibition is curated by Nicole Derenne, Teaching Assistant Professor in the Department of Art and Design, and students in her advanced art history class on feminist art.… “My students and I shaped this exhibition as a showcase of some of the Guerrilla Girls’ most impactful and iconic works that call attention to the lack of artwork by women in galleries and museums.”
An opening reception will be held on April 14 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. The exhibition is free and open the public.
