We made this poster on November 9, 2016.

In 2016 we re-examined a 1986 poster (It’s Even Worse in Europe) to find out how things were going for women and artists of color in Europe. We sent almost 400 questionnaires to European museums and kunsthalles and let them explain the situation in their own words. We got 100 replies and made an exhibition at the Whitechapel Gallery in London. The 300 who ignored our request? We put their names on the floor where visitors walked all over them.

When we were invited to do an exhibition at mfc - michèle didier we told Michèle we had to do a poster about the gallery itself. This is what we found. We're sure things are getting better.

Museum Ludwig in Cologne asked us to be in a show marking the 40th anniversary of the museum, founded by chocolate baron Peter Ludwig who figured out all kinds of ways to profit from buying art and setting up museums. We looked around and realized he started a trend for the super rich who invest in art, to start museums and look like philanthropists, all the while watching their art assets grow, grow, grow! Do these museums tell the history of art or the history of wealth and power?
